Koimsurai · Bonsai of code

Take the complex,
and make it feel effortless.

I'm Koimsurai, born in 2004 in Yunlin, Taiwan. Currently a 4th-year IM student at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), interning as a software engineer at MSI — where I'm effectively responsible for frontend framework standards and underlying architecture design within my team.

I have prior experience with C++, Python, Golang and app development. At MSI I led the adoption of a modern lightweight Tauri + Rust architecture to replace bulky legacy systems; built cross-environment CI/CD pipelines from scratch; and shipped an AI deployment architecture for cloud–edge hybrid workloads. My stack spans frontend UI/UX down to low-level memory management, plus debugging cross-platform builds and security issues.

Outside work I'm a HomeLab enthusiast — maintaining a 24/7 server cluster and building a personal Web NAS OS (Next.js + Rust) and my own AI assistant from scratch.

I served as president of NTUST's IM student council and as a programming instructor. I rely on Notion and GitHub to organize complex info, and Figma for UI design. I believe great software needs both solid foundations and an effortless feel across products and users. Hoping to keep making impact in system architecture and AI integration.

My Journey

Born

Aquarius · Blood type A

Born in 2004. Rational programming logic and emotional aesthetic design — two seemingly contradictory traits that help me balance user experience and code efficiency when building frontend interfaces and planning system architecture.

First Step into Work

Japanese restaurant — front & back of house

High school: my first job was as front-and-back-of-house at a Japanese restaurant. The Japanese craftsperson's strict standards for 'prep discipline' and 'service etiquette' deeply shaped my work ethic. Even in fast, high-pressure environments, I learned to stay calm, follow SOP, and handle complex tasks — building strong time management and stress resilience.

Early College

Cross-domain exploration & leadership

Once in college I actively expanded my tech stack (Python, Golang, Java) and pushed myself out of my comfort zone to serve as IM student-council president and as secretary of the guitar club. Beyond a heavy course load, I had to coordinate people and resources across these clubs — sharpening multitasking, learning to lead teams and communicate across groups. These soft skills became the foundation for cross-team collaboration in my later jobs.

Capstone Project

EV charging platform + gamified ESG

Goal: solve the pain of EV drivers needing multiple apps — by building an aggregator across major charging-station platforms. Backend used Redis caching to optimize map performance; FastAPI parsed in-car CAN logs to convert driving trips into carbon-reduction points; the Flutter app pioneered a "horizontal-scroll gamified" UI to convey ESG sustainability concepts. We also had full infra: Docker containers, Nginx reverse proxy, Cloudflare protection, hMailServer email. Plus a Discord Bot for ChatOps — teammates could open issues, monitor server status, and tail logs via Discord commands.

Personal Projects & Continuous Growth

Staying hungry online

Independently built a 3D interactive personal site using React + Three.js, presenting a UX different from typical flat pages. Unsatisfied with existing tools, I taught myself UI/UX to improve my projects; lately diving into Rust and Home Lab (NAS), exploring lower-level systems.

Building stable, efficient, user-fit services

Looking ahead, I want my full-stack skills and architectural experience to ship not just working code, but solid, efficient services that fit real users. Working across product types and users, from frontend to backend, from design to deploy, growing constantly.
